All our themes require a self-hosted version of WordPress. They will not work on sites hosted on WordPress.com. What is a WordPress theme?

A WordPress theme is an enhancement to make your site look and function a certain way without changing how WordPress works by default. While WordPress handles all the content on your site, the theme is the design itself, which is what your visitors view when they come to your site.

How do I install a PressWork theme?

Simple! Installing a PressWork theme is as easy as installing any WordPress theme.

Do your themes work on WordPress.com?

Our themes only work on self-hosted WordPress installations, the content management system which you can download from WordPress.org. If you have a WordPress.com hosted website, our themes will not work for you.

What payment methods do you accept?

At the moment we accept PayPal as well as all major credit cards.

How will I get access to purchased themes after payment?

After successfully buying a theme you will be automatically redirected to the members area, where you can download your themes.

Can I test your themes before purchasing one?

At the moment we do not offer a "try before you buy" option. However, you can demo all our themes at demos.presswork.me and PressWork is always free to download.

What is the PSD file, and why do I need it?

A .psd file is a source file for Photoshop, a graphic editor that is used by most web designers. You will (usually) need these files if you want to customize your theme: change the logo, change some graphic elements, etc.

Do your themes run on the latest version of WordPress?

Yes, all of our themes are compatible with the latest version of WordPress. Our themes are developed and fine-tuned for WordPress 3.2 or higher and use HTML5 and CSS3. Any versions prior to that may have issues with certain theme functionalities.

Are your themes compatible with third-party plugins?

There are thousands of third-party plugins available. We cannot guarantee that all of these plugins will be compatible with our themes, but most plugins built using current WordPress standards should work fine. If you come across any issues you can always drop by our support forum.

Are your themes widget ready?

Yes, all our themes are widget ready (where the theme's design allows). We also have a suite of PressWork custom widgets to choose from. If you come across any issues you can always drop by our support forum.

Are your themes translation ready?

Yes, all of our themes are localized (internationalized). PressWork and all child themes include a .po file which contains all of the English terms used.

Which browsers are your themes tested in?

We test all our themes in the latest versions of Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and IE 9 (only). We do not support IE 6 and 7, and some features may not work on 8. If you use IE 6, 7, or 8, please consider upgrading to the latest IE to have the best experience with our themes, or switch to a different browser. :)

All our themes are designed and developed using HTML5 web semantics and CSS3.

Do I need to keep the PressWork logo in the header?

No, you can easily remove the header logo under Layout/Header in the PressWork ToolBox.

How often are PressWork and your premium themes updated?

Each time a new version of WordPress is released, we check to make sure that our themes are compatible. We also release updates when we discover bugs or when we decide to add new features. All updates and new versions are free of charge for existing customers.

Can I use PressWork themes on multiple sites?

Yes, you can use our themes on an unlimited number of domains.

Do PressWork themes work with WordPress Multi-User (WPMU)?

Yes, our themes work with WPMU!

Do PressWork themes work with bbPress and BuddyPress?

Yes, bbPress and BuddyPress are plugins for WordPress and work like any other plugin. However, you still need to configure these plugins and style them to meet your requirements. If you come across any issues you can always drop by our support forum.
